Do You Have Any Pleasant Prairie Memories or History to Share? The Pleasant Prairie Historical Society encourages all to share stories about family life in rural Pleasant Prairie during their Dublin School Fall Open House set for Saturday, September 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The open house will feature Dublin School tours, a picnic with old-fashioned games, and stories from the last Dublin School principal, Dr. Anthony Bisciglia. The community is encouraged to stop in during the day to share their stories and bring or donate any photographs, collections or other memorabilia about earlier days in Pleasant Prairie.
Tour the Dublin School, 3875 116th Street, as it exists today, and see what Pleasant Prairie stories have been uncovered in the last few years. The Historical Society advocates Preserving the Past and Educating the Future of Pleasant Prairie. You are invited to become involved in gathering old memories and restoring the Dublin School for use as the future home for the Society and a museum in Pleasant Prairie.
At the event, Society members will encourage community awareness by gathering historical accounts about the people, businesses, schools, churches, activities and events that have taken place in Pleasant Prairie. Once inside the school you will get a glimpse of the past and its history that will pique your interest in learning more about Pleasant Prairie. If you have any questions, please contact the Historical Society at (262) 947-3600 or [email protected].
