Please Help Us Thank the Kenosha Area Noon Optimists
During a July 15 Village Board meeting, the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club presented a check for $1,000 to the Therapeutic Recreation Program at RecPlex (a program for children and adults with special needs). The Noon Optimist Club has supported the Therapeutic Recreation Program for the past several years. The funds will be used to take 60 day campers with special needs to the Wisconsin State Fair and to a Milwaukee Brewers Game.
"This is such a generous donation from the Noon Optimist Club," commented Erin Winch, Director of Therapeutic Recreation. "Without the support of groups like the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club many of our campers would not have the opportunity to go on these outings. Their donation and support allows our campers to participate in the same leisure activities that everyone else does."
The Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club raises funds throughout the year to support youth programs and services in and around Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie. Their primary fundraiser, the Great Kenosha Pizza Bake Off, is held annually in February. The Village wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club.
