In mid-October, the Historical Society hosted their annual meeting at their new home - the historic Dublin School. Activities for the evening included a: social, potluck dinner, business meeting, and annual update. Following these activities, four guest speakers (see image and caption above) shared historical stories with those in attendance.
The Pleasant Prairie Historical Society currently has 107 members. Members of the society volunteer their time to help with various tasks related to preserving the past and educating the community about Pleasant Prairie's history. Members host events throughout the year to collect and share stories related to life in Pleasant Prairie.
The society is currently looking for those interested in volunteering their time and talents to assist in their efforts. Volunteers are needed to assist with:
• Research
• Inventorying collections
• Documenting collections
• Data entry
• Cleaning and upkeep of Dublin School
