The Village of Pleasant Prairie will be conducting a public involvement meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to discuss the proposed improvements to 93rd Street from 63rd Avenue to Cooper Road. The public involvement meeting will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Auditorium located at 9915 39th Avenue. Attendees will have the opportunity to view project handouts and exhibits and talk with project staff.
The project is being proposed to address the deteriorating pavement as well as function and safety along 93rd Street. Project improvements would involve reconstructing the existing rural roadway to an urban roadway cross section with shoulders, curb and gutter, sidewalk on the north side of 93rd Street, storm sewer and storm water management facilities, construction of a roundabout at the Cooper Road intersection, roundabout lighting, sanitary sewer and water main improvements, and other associated improvements necessary to complete the project.
Construction is currently scheduled for the summer of 2027. Construction activities will require the roadway to be closed. Access for residents and businesses located within the project limits will be maintained during construction.
If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like more information on the project, please call 262.925.6729.
