On Monday, January 9, 2017, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved final site and operational plans along with a Certified Survey Map for company headquarters and a new distribution center for Doheny Enterprises, Inc. Preliminary plans were approved August 22, 2016. The swimming pool supplier intends to construct a 212,489 square foot building on approximately 16.67 acres at the southeast corner of State Highway 165 and 80th Avenue.

Plans call for 169,658 square feet of the proposed building to be dedicated to warehousing. Approximately 25,757 square feet dedicated to office functions and 17,074 square feet for mezzanine. The new building will consolidate warehousing space from three buildings currently occupied by Doheny in Kenosha. The company was established in 1967. Doheny operates ten distribution centers nationwide and has had a presence in Kenosha County for 20 years. Doheny sells swimming pool supplies to consumers and commercial markets via catalogs, websites, outbound telemarketing, and a local retail pool store.

Expected hours of operation for the new distribution center are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. from October through February (off season) and Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. from March through September (on season).
Approximately 55 full-time and 140 part-time employees are expected to work from the new facility. An average of 150 automobiles and 30 trucks are expected to travel to and from the site on a daily basis. Occupancy is expected in fall 2017.
