THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF SHOP WITH A COP 2016

The Pleasant Prairie Professional Police Association would like to express their thanks to those who supported the 11th Annual Pleasant Prairie Shop with a Cop and Firefighter charity event. This event would not be possible without your support. Shop with a Cop and Firefighter is a way for members of Pleasant Prairie痴 Police and Fire & Rescue Departments to help local families who may not otherwise be able to celebrate the holidays in a traditional manner.

Shop with a Cop was held on Saturday, December 3. Twenty-one children experiencing difficult situations were paired off with a Pleasant Prairie Police Officer or Firefighter and selected gifts for their family members. 典his is a great way for kids to interact in a positive way with emergency service professionals in our community,� explained Police Chief David Smetana. 摘ven more, it ensures that struggling families will be able to share the joy of the holiday spirit. This is a great deal of work each year, and I am proud of the Police Association痴 desire to do this on an annual basis.�

The Pleasant Prairie Professional Police Association collects donations in support of the event each year. Members of the department wish to sincerely thank all those who have been so generous in the past with support for this program. Members of the department would also like to thank the volunteers who helped this year痴 children wrap the gifts for their family members.
