RecPlex Programming Scholarship Fund
Posted on 10/12/2021
RecPlex of Pleasant Prairie is pleased to announce a new scholarship fund supporting guests who might not otherwise afford programming at the recreation facility. The scholarship fund is made possible by the $1.5 million corporate citizen sponsorship awarded to RecPlex in 2020 by HARIBO of America. The program aims to utilize a portion of the funds for scholarships that provide programming to individuals and families needing financial assistance.

“At RecPlex, we believe everyone should have access to quality recreation, regardless of their finances,” said Craig Anderson, RecPlex Director of Recreation. “The HARIBO sponsorship offers relief to help those in need of program assistance. Future goals are to expand the assistance program to include membership scholarships.”

To qualify for a scholarship, participants must be a resident of Kenosha County, 17 years of age or younger, and provide written documentation on the supporting hardship. Programming scholarships cover recreation and introductory type programs, including youth sports leagues, swim lessons, youth fitness classes, and more. Individuals may receive one scholarship per year.

Those interested in receiving a programming scholarship may apply at RecPlexOnline.com/Forms, under scholarship applications. Applicants should complete all required fields within the online application and submit the form for consideration. Once an application is received, RecPlex staff will review the information and follow up on the specific documentation required to complete the application. Processing applications can take two to three weeks. RecPlex will continue to award programming scholarships as funds allow.
