19-Year-Old Suffers Fatal Gunshot Wound Update

On Monday, May 20, 2019, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Pleasant Prairie Police Officers and Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue personnel were dispatched to the parking lot of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen (10366 77th Street) Pleasant Prairie, for a report of a man outside in the parking lot who was shot. 

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 19-year-old male, identified as Khaled M. Alchaar from Pleasant Prairie, with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Froedtert South hospital by Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, where he later died.  

This is an active and ongoing police investigation, and anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353 or Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 800-807-8477. On Monday, May 20, 2019, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Pleasant Prairie Police Officers and Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue personnel were dispatched to the parking lot of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen (10366 77th Street) for a report of a man outside in the parking lot who was shot. 

Upon arrival, first responders discovered the 19-year-old Kenosha male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Froedtert South hospital by Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, where he later died. The name is being withheld pending notification of the family. An autopsy is scheduled for May 21 in Milwaukee.

Pleasant Prairie Detectives immediately began working on the case in an effort to identify the suspect(s) of this crime. The area was searched extensively with assistance of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, Kenosha Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol with negative results. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
