May 1 through June 7, the Pleasant Prairie Patriots (PX3) will host a competitive swimming skills clinic for area youth. The "Get Ready For Summer" swimming skills clinic will teach swimmers ages 5 through 12 the fundamentals of each competitive stroke, starts, turns and finishes. Between May 1 and June 7, swimmers will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:15 until 6:15 p.m. The clinic will be held in the RecPlex Aqua Arena.
Pleasant Prairie Patriot Head Coach Lukas Towry explained, “The 'Get Ready For Summer' clinic is a great way for kids to have fun swimming, meet new friends and learn the basics of competitive swimming! Team swimming is a great way for kids to remain active while learning to support a team and reach for their personal best.” The "Get Ready For Summer" clinic is geared towards swimmers who have completed swim lessons and are considering swimming on a team. Young swimmers should be able to swim one length (25 yards) of Freestyle and one length of Backstroke.
