BUSINESS LICENSE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE ALL VILLAGE BUSINESSES

On November 21, the Village Board approved updates to the Zoning Ordinance which will require all businesses operating in the Village to obtain a business license as of January 1. The update also changed the name of the previously required home occupation permit to business license.

Home occupation permits have been required in the Village since the mid 1980s. The updated business license is now required for both home-based and non home-based businesses. The license will cost $25 and will be renewable annually. The new license will help first responders and administrative staff maintain contact and tenancy information for businesses operating in the Village.
