CLOSURES OF TURN LANES AT WIS 165 AND WIS 31 TO BEGIN
LEFT-TURN MOVEMENTS FULLY RESTRICTED DURING CLOSURES
On Wednesday, October 5, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to begin a series of turn lane closures at the WIS 165 and WIS 31 intersection in Kenosha County. These closures are anticipated to last until later this fall.
On the north, west and south legs of the intersection, the left-turn lanes will have closures. On the east leg of the intersection, the right-turn lane will have a closure. While all four legs will have turn lane closures, no more than two legs will have turn lane closures at a time.
Scheduled for Wednesday, October 5
- Both left-turn lanes from eastbound WIS 165 to northbound WIS 31
- The right-turn lane from westbound WIS 165 to northbound WIS 31
Schedule for later in October
- The left-turn lane from southbound WIS 31 to eastbound WIS 165
- The left-turn lane from northbound WIS 31 to westbound WIS 165
The schedule of work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The closures are necessary to complete grading, storm sewer and paving operations for the WIS 165 rehabilitation project. The intersection will have increased capacity as a result of this operation. More information about the project can be found on 511 Wisconsin at

The Village asks drivers to please use extreme care and patience when traveling through this intersection while the work is taking place.
