
All are invited to two free Triathlete Clinics being held at RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The Triathlete Clinics will be held on Saturday, February 20 and Saturday, April 17 from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. The clinics will focus on what to expect and how to prepare for your first triathlon. Specific topics include: basic equipment needed to participate; what to wear; training tips; best races for first timers; an overview of the Pleasant Prairie, Trek and Danskin Triathlons; training and workout opportunities; and what to expect during a race, in the form of a race walkthrough.
Athletes of all ages, from youth through seniors, are invited to attend this free clinic. No previous experience with bicycling, swimming or running is necessary. USA Triathlon Certified Coach, Ken Johnson, will present the clinics. Johnson is also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Triathlon Coach at RecPlex. He has trained more than 200 women who have successfully completed the Trek and Danskin Triathlons at RecPlex and Prairie Springs Park. Though formal registration is not required and there is no cost for the clinics, those interested are asked to pre-register at RecPlexOnline.com or in person at RecPlex. RecPlex is a multi-sport recreational facility offering health, wellness and family resources to residents of southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. RecPlex offers fitness and triathlon training programs by USA Triathlon certified coaches. RecPlex is located just east of I-94 midway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
