CONTRACT AWARDED FOR 2016 SANITARY SEWER LINING PROJECT
On Monday, June 20, 2016, the Pleasant Prairie Village Board approved a contract with Visu-Sewer, Inc. in the amount of $117,005 for work on a Sanitary Sewer Lining Project that was budgeted for as part of the 2016 Sewer Utility Capital Budget.
As part of the contract, Visu-Sewer will complete: 2,156 linear feet of sewer cleaning, televising and sewer lining. They will also reinstate five service connections, perform chemical grouting of seven sanitary sewer manholes and install nine strong seal, cementitious liners and 1,330 square feet of strong seal, cementitious liner with epoxy surface.
Relining has become a popular, cost-effective method of rehabilitating sanitary sewer main. A new liner is pulled into the existing sewer main or lateral and cured in place. Visu-Sewer was the lowest responsible bidder for the work and has completed sewer rehabilitation projects successfully for the Village in the past.
