Earlier this month, the Village Park Commission reviewed proposed concepts for the new Ingram Park. John and Dorothy Ingram donated the land for a new park in December of last year. In early May, a consultant was selected to design the new park. The preliminary concepts were prepared by Schreiber/Anderson Associates based on resident input received during a public meeting.
PREFERRED PRELIMINARY CONCEPT IDENTIFIED
Schreiber/Anderson presented two preliminary concepts to the Commission during its October meeting. Both concepts included: a dog run, fishing pond, open green space, parking, a playground area, walking/bicycle trails, landscaping and a park shelter area. Commissioners identified the preliminary concept shown above as their preferred option due to the addition of an amphitheater area adjacent to the fishing pond.
PLANNING TO CONTINUE
Schreiber/Anderson will now continue to refine the plans. They will work to incorporate additional feedback offered by Village staff and the Commission. They will also adapt the plans to address topographical features of the property and then return them for further review.
