PLANS APPROVED FOR ADDITION AT EMCO CHEMICAL IN LAKEVIEW CORPORATE PARK
On Monday, June 13, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved site and operational plans for an addition and related site improvements at EMCO Chemical Distributors, Inc. located at 8601 95th Street in LakeView Corporate Park.
Plans call for a 62,160 square foot addition to be constructed on the north side of the facility. The addition will be used for warehousing purposes and will feature twelve loading dock spaces on the east face of the building. The addition will house the same types of industrial, chemical materials as the existing warehouses and allow for similar operations such as storing and loading.
Site related improvements include: the construction of a guard shack at the exterior fence line of the property; the installation of additional water infrastructure and fire hydrants; and the installation of a small service road on the north side of the building.
Edward Polen founded EMCO Chemical Distributors in 1971. EMCO relocated from Illinois to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin on July 13, 2011. It has continued to grow its operations. EMCO anticipates operating 24 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a majority of operations taking place between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The company currently employs approximately 100 people. No additional employees are expected to be hired due to the addition.
