The following information was released by the Lake County Division of Transportation on Monday, August 10.
RUSSELL ROAD TO CLOSE AT TRUMPET PARK FOR ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The Lake County Division of Transportation has granted permission to Pantattoni Construction, Inc. to close Russell Road (County Route A-1) to all traffic for a period of 35 calendar days, starting Wednesday, August 26, 2009, from a point 200 feet east of the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing to approximately 800 feet west of Green Bay Road, Illinois Route 131/Wisconsin Highway 31.
This construction work will require the Pantattoni Construction Company to close Russell Road in order to widen and reconstruct Russell Road and the entrance to the Trumpet Park development. Local traffic will be allowed from Delany Road or Green Bay Road to the closed construction site. The construction area will be closed to all traffic.
The detour route for this road closure will be Kilbourne Road (County Route W-26) to Illinois Route 173 (Rosecrans Road) to Illinois Route 131 (Green Bay Road). To see a map of the work area and detour route, please see the PDF below.
