Thank you to those who joined at the Ingram Park Open House. Residents were invited to attend an open house-style session to assist in the planning of the new Ingram Park in Pleasant Prairie. The Ingram Park Open House was held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 in the Pleasant Prairie Village Hall Auditorium, located at 9915 39th Avenue. Schreiber Anderson Associates, the design firm selected for the project, hosted the open house.

During the session, Schreiber Anderson gathered public input, which will help form goals and objectives related to the design of the park. The firm will also incorporate ideas from John and Dorothy Ingram into the design of park. On December 30, 2008, John and Dorothy Ingram donated 30.73 acres of land to the Village, on which they have lived since 1971, for the creation of a new public park. The couple wishes to see the land transformed into a community park featuring a fishing pond, trees and shrubbery to attract wildlife, trails for walking, and a dog run or dog friendly area. The park will be named for the couple, and a memorial to them will be placed at the entrance to the park.
