NEW FOUR-WAY STOP SIGNS TO BE INSTALLED AT CTH H AND 95TH STREET
Kenosha County announces the installation of new four-way stop signs at the intersection of CTH "H" (88th Avenue) and 95th Street in the Village of Pleasant Prairie. The intersection is located adjacent to Lakeview Corporate Park and Prairie Springs Park and serves as one of the main access points to both the corporate park and the recreational park.
Prior to the installation of the four-way stop signs, traffic on CTH "H" was not required to stop. With the installation of the new signs, traffic in all directions will be required to stop. The installation of the four-way stop signs is a traffic safety measure being taken to address a vehicle crash problem. The intersection has been the location of numerous crashes that are susceptible to being corrected by the four-way stop sign installation.
Kenosha County and Village of Pleasant Prairie officials have indicated their support of this action intended to increase the safety of the travelling public. Kenosha County Division of Highways crews will install the signs on Monday May 24, 2010.
