Thank you to all who joined us this summer for the inaugural SportsFest event. Prairie Family Days, the traditional end of summer event in the Village, was not held this year. Due to the continuing economic pressures being experienced around the country, it has been difficult to maintain Prairie Family Days as a budget-neutral event.
Supported by community donations, SportsFest provided a venue for some of the favorite activities from the former Prairie Family Days, including youth sports competitions and a 5K. Other activities at SportsFest included: the Princess Parade, Miss Pleasant Prairie, Prairie Idol, the Kid's FunZone, a classic car show, the Fishing Derby on Lake Andrea and more.
The Village would like to sincerely thank Uline along with all other sponsors, volunteers and attendees who helped to make the inaugural event so wonderful. Please consider joining us at SportsFest next summer, for great company, food, fun games and more.
