The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 10 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall Auditorium on the south side of Village Hall at 9915 39th Avenue.
Following is text from the public notice related to the public meeting...
You are invited to attend Kenosha County's Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) at which the above referenced project will be discussed. The project is being funded as a partnership between Kenosha County and WisDOT.
The meeting will be held at Pleasant Prairie's Village Hall on Thursday, March 10, 2016 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and lasting until 7:00 p.m. Please note that the meeting will be held in the new auditorium which is located on the south side of Village Hall at 9915 39th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. Parking for the new auditorium is available on the south end of the building and is accessible through an entrance off of 100th Street.
The meeting will be open-house format so you can attend any time during those hours. No formal presentation will be given, but project displays will be provided and project representatives from Kenosha County and CORRE, Inc. (designer) will be available to discuss the proposed project and address any questions or concerns you may have. Alternative alignments will be presented at the meeting for citizen review.
The trail will provide an important bike/pedestrian connection for the Kenosha County bicycle network within the Village of Pleasant Prairie. The trail is planned to travel along CTH C from the western end at 114th Avenue (River Road) to the Donald Hackbarth Trail on the eastern end (see attached Project Location Map). The pathway will include a 10' wide asphalt trail along the roadway and will include boardwalk approaching the new bike/ pedestrian bridge across the Des Plaines River. Design strategies will minimize impacts to surrounding trees, wetlands and neighboring properties. Construction is anticipated for the summer/fall of 2017.
