On April 28, 2019, at 12:39 p.m., Pleasant Prairie Police responded to a call of a civil disturbance in the 7800 block of 88th Avenue. Officers were met by several individuals at the location and through further investigation learned that a 32-year-old Zion man alleged he had been kidnapped by three other Zion men at gun point. The three men then demanded that he accompany them to retrieve stolen property from a Pleasant Prairie home. The three men believed the 32-year-old man had been involved in an earlier theft of their property and that the property was at the Pleasant Prairie home.
Subsequent to the investigation, the three men were taken into custody for the following charges; Kidnapping, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Two of the men were also charged with Possession of THC and one was charged with Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass to a Dwelling. All three of the suspects are currently being held at the Kenosha County Jail awaiting court proceedings.
The Pleasant Prairie Police were assisted by Zion Police Investigators. Police recovered an AR style air soft gun and two vehicles used by the three men. Zion Police are also conducting a parallel investigation into the incident and to how it unfolded in Zion.
