With coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak updates and the impacts changing daily, the Village of Pleasant Prairie continues to work to lessen the effect COVID-19 has on the community through social distancing and limiting public gathering. In response to the Wisconsin Department of Health’s order to close public schools and to align with CDC guidelines, the RecPlex will close starting Wednesday, March 18, until further notice.
The Village of Pleasant Prairie and RecPlex staff realizes the facility meets many needs for different populations and does not take the decision lightly. The facility is committed to the health and well-being of the public, the valued members, and staff. During the closure, staff will continue to update members on the decisions being made. There have been no known cases connected with RecPlex use. Please read below for known RecPlex updates, at this time:

The RecPlex will be closed starting Wednesday, March 18 until further notice. The closure may change as COVID-19 information becomes available, and the risk to the public changes.

Memberships will be placed on hold effective Wednesday, March 18:
o
Monthly Billing Memberships: A credit for March 18 to April 1 will be issued once the facility reopens and billing resumes.
o
Paid In Full & Short Term Memberships: Expiration dates will be extended to reflect lost time between March 18, and when the facility reopens.

During the closure, annual facility maintenance will be performed in all user areas.
•
Programming staff will be contacting participants separately.
•
Child care and Therapeutic Services staff will email families separately.
