The Plan Commission unanimously approved Final Site and Operational Plans for the proposed 11,033 square foot Kwik Trip gasoline, convenience store, and car wash facility. The new location will be in Pleasant Prairie, generally located west of Old Green Bay Road at 102nd Street in the Main Street Market development. The new store will be the Village’s fifth Kwik Trip location.
The Plan Commission approval, which included a Digital Security Imaging System (DSIS) Agreement and DSIS Access Easement, came Monday night during the November 23 Plan Commission meeting. Construction on the approximately 2.9-acre site is planned to begin in spring 2021. The station will include ten fueling dispensers (20 fueling positions) under a canopy, with a convenience store and an attached car wash.
“Kwik Trip has been a great community partner; their locations are well known for their cleanliness and quality services,” said Jean Werbie-Harris, Community Development Director. “The new location will be a benefit to the area, providing easy access to fresh groceries and gas.”
The fueling station designs are for automobiles and small trucks fueling only. The hours of operation at the station will be 5:00 a.m. until midnight daily. One fuel, one grocery, and one additional delivery truck are expected from the facility daily between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
A total of 20 full-time and eight part-time employees will work at the facility. Due to the proximity of the residential condominium development across Old Green Bay Road to the east. The developer carefully evaluated the height of the gasoline canopy, the direction of lighting, and signage to ensure the light is directing downward to meet the neighborhood requirements.
