The Village of Pleasant Prairie plans to add new food and beverage options for visitors at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex and select Village parks. The Recreation Department has opened a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is inviting submissions from qualified vendors to operate food and beverage concessions. The goal is to enhance the visitor experience and provide more convenient dining options beyond the traditional vending machine and vending cart options, such as grab-and-go items, catering, and more.
"We're thrilled to expand our food and beverage offerings and look forward to reviewing proposals from interested vendors," explained Brett Christopher, Director of Recreation and Programming. "With this RFP, we aim to enhance the experience at RecPlex and surrounding park by offering more food options to create a destination where visitors can access concessions and enjoy all things recreation."
The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex is home to various sports programs and special events and is a popular destination for many residents and area visitors. Thousands of people visit the comprehensive recreational facility yearly for recreational amenities, including the indoor aquatic center, fitness center, fieldhouse, ice rinks, and more. The selected vendor will have an opportunity to operate concessions at RecPlex and multiple outdoor locations, providing an exciting opportunity for local businesses to showcase their food offerings, gain exposure, and reach a broad audience.
The Village is looking for vendors with a proven track record of providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. The Village’s RFP schedule plans to evaluate submissions and conduct interviews in early February, with contracts awarded mid to late February and concession operations beginning by late March 2023. Interested vendors may submit their proposals by 4:00 p.m. on January 27, 2023, to Brett Christopher, Village Director of Recreation and Programming at RecPlex, 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie. Vendors may submit proposals for individual areas; however, the first consideration will be for parties that offer a bundled proposal for all locations. Interested companies may send inquiries about the RFP to
