The Pleasant Prairie Police Department, in partnership with the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club and Southeastern Lakes Scholastic Mountain Biking (SLSMTB), is excited to host a Bicycle Rodeo on May 13, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Pleasant Prairie Village Hall, located at 9915 39th Avenue. The Bike Rodeo is a free event for children ages five to 11, from Kindergarten to fifth grade. The rodeo will teach children various bike safety skills using simulated real-life situations.
The event will take place in the south lot of the Village Hall, with parking available in the north lot. Participants must bring their bikes to participate. Kids can test their bicycle handling skills and learn bike safety techniques by partaking in an agility course, bike games, and visiting the various bike safety stations. In addition, the event will feature a helmet and t-shirt giveaway, with a bike inspection, helmet fitting, and certificate of completion.
The Bike Rodeo is limited to 110 kids, and registration is required to participate. Parents and guardians can reserve a spot for their child by visiting
