The Village of Pleasant Prairie plans to replace a section of the sanitary sewer line on Cooper Road. The improvements require a temporary road closure on Cooper Road between 75th Street and 80th Street.
The road closure will begin on Monday, June 3. The sewer line replacement project will start near 76th Street and extend south into the intersection at 80th Street. During the construction period, Cooper Road will be closed to through traffic. Construction crews will maintain access to resident homes and area businesses throughout the project. The route to access individual properties will vary based on the location of the ongoing work.
The Village, in collaboration with the contractor, expects the roadway to reopen in late July. Residents and commuters are advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time to navigate around the construction area.
"We appreciate the public's cooperation during this temporary closure," said Pleasant Prairie Village Engineer Kurt Davidsen. "We ask residents and those needing to travel within the project limits to be cautious and patient as the work crews complete the infrastructure improvements."
