The company plans to utilize the facility to store and ship flammable solvent-based and non-solvent-based paints and coatings.
GXO will use the approximately 100,000-square-foot building for High Hazard Group H storage operations. A portion of the building, about 13,000 square feet, will be designated for office use. No open use of the materials will occur on-site. The property is zoned M-2, General Manufacturing District, which permits High-Hazard Group H uses with Plan Commission approval. Village staff and the Fire & Rescue Department confirmed that the proposed operations meet all applicable public safety and environmental protection standards.
GXO is a third-party logistics provider that specializes in supply chain solutions for a wide range of industries. Interior alterations to the space, which include the installation of racking systems, are scheduled to begin in June 2025, and occupancy is anticipated for July 2025.
