On Monday, April 21, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit, including Site and Operational Plans, for GXO Logistics Supply Chain, Inc. to occupy and operate within the building located at 10303 80th Avenue. The company plans to utilize the facility to store and ship flammable solvent-based and non-solvent-based paints and coatings.
GXO will use the approximately 100,000-square-foot building for High Hazard Group H storage operations. A portion of the building, about 13,000 square feet, will be designated for office use. No open use of the materials will occur on-site. The property is zoned M-2, General Manufacturing District, which permits High-Hazard Group H uses with Plan Commission approval. Village staff and the Fire & Rescue Department confirmed that the proposed operations meet all applicable public safety and environmental protection standards.
GXO is a third-party logistics provider that specializes in supply chain solutions for a wide range of industries. The company is recognized globally for its focus on automation, e-commerce logistics, and outsourced supply chain services. Interior alterations to the space, which include the installation of racking systems, are scheduled to begin in June 2025, and occupancy is anticipated for July 2025.
