85th Street comments.pdf
The Village would like to thank all residents who attended the public informational meeting regarding the proposed reconstruction of 85th Street. For those who could not attend the meeting and would still like to share comments, a comment form is available below as a downloadable PDF. Residents who live in the immediate project area are asked to please note the information related to sidewalks. You are asked to comment on whether or not you care to have sidewalks installed. Though the Village is not requiring sidewalks as part of the project, grant money is available for their installation. The Village is interested in knowing the preference of affected property owners.
The Village is planning to reconstruct 85th Street from Cooper Road west to 63rd Avenue, and 57th Avenue, from 85th Street to 500 feet north. Proposed improvements include changing the profile of the existing road from a rural roadway to an urban roadway, with curb, gutter and possibly sidewalks along 85th Street, and the installation of storm sewer. Construction is anticipated during the spring and summer of 2009. More information about the project is available by calling 262/348-5600. The project will be funded with dollars from the Village's Capital Project Fund along with a Local Road Improvement Program grant from the State of Wisconsin.
