When snow starts to fall, the Public Works Department activates its Snow and Ice Removal Plan.

Two Public Informational Meetings held in late April were well attended. One was related to storm water in a portion of Carol Beach called Unit 2.

During a special announcement on Thursday, January 3, Governor Jim Doyle, Village President John Steinbrink Sr., and Kenosha County Executive Allan Kehl welcomed Uline to Wisconsin. Uline, a shipping supply company currently headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois, will spend approximately $100 million to relocate its corporate headquarters to Pleasant Prairie and build a new distribution facility here.
