The Pleasant Prairie Village Board approved a Development Agreement between the Village and Uline during a September 15 meeting. Through the Development Agreement, Uline has confirmed its commitment to develop its corporate campus as outlined in a Site and Operational Plan, which was approved in late August. The Development Agreement between the Village and Uline will provide for the design, construction and installation of private and public improvements, in addition to addressing other development related details.
As part of the agreement, Uline has agreed that it will not build another corporate headquarters elsewhere until the Pleasant Prairie campus is complete. The company has also agreed not to build any additional distribution space within a 50-mile radius until their distribution space in Pleasant Prairie is complete. "The approval of the Uline Development Agreement truly shows the level of commitment between Uline and our community," stated John Steinbrink Sr., Pleasant Prairie Village President. "With Uline's strong corporate values and commitment to excellence, I couldn't be more pleased to welcome Uline as a new corporate citizen in Pleasant Prairie."
Uline is a leading, international, packing supply company with a strong belief in operational excellence and customer focus. Uline will build a corporate campus in Pleasant Prairie, just west of Interstate-94 and south of Highway Q. Construction of the first phase of distribution space is expected to be complete by the end of 2009. Construction of the corporate offices is expected to be complete during the spring of 2010; and completion of all phases for the Uline campus is expected in 2015. Initially, nearly 650 employees are expected to occupy the corporate headquarters, and 200 are expected to work from the distribution center.
