    Pleasant Prairie in Bloom Photo Contest


    Have you photographed the beauty of the many natural areas in Pleasant Prairie or do you have an amazing picture of your garden? Enter your photos in the Pleasant Prairie in Bloom photo contest. Your photos could appear in the 2019 Village Calendar and Resource Directory, on the Village website, our social media channels, or in other Village publications. 

    The photo contest will be open from May 1 to August 16.

    Entry forms options will appear on the right side of the screen on May 1.

    Pleasant Prairie in Bloom Photo Contest Rules and Information
     

    Contest begins May 1, 2019, and closes August 16, 2019. Open voting will be available on selected photos on the Village website from August 19 to August 30, 2019. The top three photos with the most votes will be the winners.  Winners will receive a gift certificate to Pleasant Prairie place of business. Winners will be contacted via phone call and/or email.

    Contest Rules: 

    1. Anyone is eligible to enter the contest; however, the photos must be taken within the Village of Pleasant Prairie. Flowers, trees, and plants must be in Pleasant Prairie. Minors must have parental consent. 

    2. Each photo must be submitted with an entry form, which includes a publicity release/permission to reprint form. Entry forms are available online in PDF format on the right of this screen or at Village Hall (9915 39th Avenue). Entrants must complete both the Entry Form and the Release Form.

    3. Employees of the Village of Pleasant Prairie are not eligible to win prizes for their submissions, but are welcome to enter the contest. 

    4. Photos must not feature the intellectual property of others (ie, a registered trademark) and must be in good taste. 

    5. Entries must be received on or before August 16, 2019, to be eligible. 

    6. Either digital images or prints may be submitted: digital images by email to communications@plprairiewi.com or online via Google Forms on the right side of this screen. Digital images must be in JPG format and between 2 and 10 MB in size. An email with attachments totaling 10 MB or more will not make it through our email server. If submitting via email, include the entrant’s name, address and phone number in the email.

    7. If submitting a print by mail, send to Pleasant Prairie in Bloom Photo Contest, Village Hall, 9915 39th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. Prints can also be submitted in person to Village Hall, at the same address. Please include the entrant’s name, address and phone number on a label on the back of each photo. Do not write directly on the photo. All photos must be a minimum of 4” x 6”, maximum 8” x 10”. 

    8. All entries become the property of the Village of Pleasant Prairie and will not be returned. 

    9. The Village of Pleasant Prairie reserves the right to crop and edit photos. 

    10. Every attempt will be made to provide photo credit; but it is not guaranteed for all uses of the image by Village. 

    11. The Village of Pleasant Prairie assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to submitted photos. 

    12. All accepted photos may be used in various media formats for an unlimited amount of time and at no cost to the Village of Pleasant Prairie. 

    13. Contest entrants agree to all the rules and regulations set forth and by the decisions made by the judges. 

    14. Judges’ decisions are final and no communication will be entered into. 

    15. The Village of Pleasant Prairie is not responsible for any inaccurate or incorrect information. 

    16. If the contest is not able to run as planned, the Village of Pleasant Prairie reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest without notice. 

    17. Judges will determine if a photo that has one or more people in it will be allowed into the contest. Photos cannot have images of people's faces.

    18. Photos taken prior to the start of this contest will be accepted. Photos do not need to be taken during May – August 2019. 

    19. Voting will be open to the public August 19 to August 30 via Village website. Village staff will select which photos will be voted by the public. Top 3 photos with the most votes will be the winners.
