Village Clerk

The Village Clerk is responsible for:

Administration of elections within the Village of Pleasant Prairie for local, state and federal elected offices including recruiting and training Election Inspectors (Poll Workers);

Preparation of Agendas, Agenda Packets, Minutes for the Village Board, Board of Review, Joint Review Board, Sex Offender Residence Board, and Community Development Authority;

Preparation and preservation of ordinances, resolutions and codification of the Municipal Code;

Administration of licensing and permits for Retail Liquor License, Operator’s (Bartender) License, Temporary Picnic “Beer/Wine” License, Cigarette and Tobacco Products License, Towing Services License, Mobile Home Park License, Second Hand Jeweler/Article License, Peddler License, Block Party Permits, Hotel/Motel/Short-term Rentals Permits;

Preservation of Public Records/Public Request Requests – Records custodian for Village Board, Board of Review, Joint Review Board, Sex Offender Residence Board, Community Development Authority and Clerk’s Office; and

Secures the Village Official Seal.
