Site and operational plans for the construction of two speculative industrial buildings in LakeView Corporate Park were considered at a meeting of the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission on Monday, June 9. The two buildings are proposed to be built on property along 107th Street and 82nd Avenue in Pleasant Prairie. The plans, submitted by Towne Investments, call for the construction of one 82,000 square foot building on a five-acre parcel and one 51,500 square foot building on an adjacent 3.5-acre parcel.
Plans for each building include: employee, client and visitor parking; truck docks; and overhead drive-in vehicle doors. Landscaping will be installed along the front of each building and around the perimeter of the parking areas. Approximately 25% of each parcel will remain as open, green space. Because the buildings are being constructed on a speculative basis, no tenants have yet been identified to occupy the buildings.
"We're very pleased to learn that Towne Investments is committed to building these industrial buildings in Pleasant Prairie," shared Jean Werbie, Community Development Director for the Village. "It speaks to their level of confidence in the economic climate in the Pleasant Prairie area." Towne Investments currently has two other speculative buildings in LakeView Corporate Park and owns approximately 38 acres of land in the park.
