On December 18, Pleasant Prairie Police arrested two Racine men after a crash involving a stolen vehicle from Racine and a United States Postal Service (USPS) vehicle. The first Pleasant Prairie Police Officer on the scene, located at Green Bay Road and Springbrook Road, was advised that two parties fled northeast into a field after the accident. Pleasant Prairie Officers and the Pleasant Prairie K-9, Chase, responded to the nearby neighborhood and searched for the two men. Both parties were taken into custody in the 6300 Block of 116th Street. One of the suspects surrendered to officers after he was located hiding in a garden shed.
The arrested parties were Joshua Lee Bell, age 18, and Julian Fonseca, age 17. Bell was arrested for obstructing, being a passenger in a stolen vehicle, and making threats to law enforcement. Fonseca was arrested for operating a vehicle without an owner’s consent, bail jumping, obstructing an officer, hit and run to an attended vehicle, and third offense of operating without a valid driver’s license.
Both Bell and Fonseca are being held at the Kenosha County Jail and are awaiting court proceedings. During Bell’s booking, he threatened violence against a Pleasant Prairie Police Officer’s family. The USPS employees reported a minor injury as a result of the accident.
Anyone with information about this case or the vehicle involved is asked to call the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353 or Kenosha County Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
