RESURFACING WORK ON WIS 165 RECOMMENCES
LEFT-TURN MOVEMENTS AT GREEN BAY ROAD INTERSECTION TO BE RESTRICTED
On March 22, 2017, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) resumed work on a resurfacing project on WIS 165 (104th Street) from I-94 to WIS 31 (Green Bay Road), in Kenosha County.
The initial work is anticipated to take place off-road with limited traffic impacts. Then, the week of March 27, long-term single lane closures on WIS 165 are scheduled. Some congestions may occur with these closures.
During the week of March 27, work will also begin on the WIS 165 and WIS 31 Intersection. This operation will prohibit left-turn movements on both northbound and southbound WIS 31, at the intersection, for approximately one month.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes or make use of adjacent intersections for the left-turn movements. The intersection will have increased capacity as a result of this improvement. The schedule of work is weather dependent and subject to change. The project is scheduled to be completed this summer.
