On January 24, 2022, at 6:25 p.m., Pleasant Prairie Police responded to 128th Street and Green Bay Road for an accident involving a snowmobile and a vehicle. Officers arrived and found the operator of the snowmobile, a 33-year-old man from Beach Park, suffering from non-life-threatening leg and hip injuries.
The injured individual was transported to Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie and then transferred via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Wauwatosa to treat his injuries.
The operator of the second vehicle, a 41-year-old Waukegan man, was uninjured and cooperated with the police investigation. On-scene officers determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. Pleasant Prairie Police are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash. Initial information gathered at the scene led police to determine that the snowmobile was traveling eastbound, crossing Highway 31, when it was struck by the vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 31.
