Agents on behalf of Abbott Laboratories, the Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) and the Village of Pleasant Prairie have requested consideration of amendments to the Zoning Ordinance Text and Map pertaining to several parcels of land, located west of I-94 between County Trunk Highways "C" and "Q". The requests, submitted by Marilyn J. Kasko, Division Vice President of Corporate Real Estate, Abbott laboratories, Inc., agent for PDD LLC and PDD II LLC; Todd Battle of the Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA); and Michael Pollocoff of the Community Development Authority of the Village of Pleasant Prairie and of the Village of Pleasant Prairie, will be considered at a public hearing.
The request for a planned development agreement relates to land purchased by Abbott Laboratories, west of I-94, south of CTH "C" and north of CTH "Q". The proposed zoning map amendment provides for a gated campus like complex for uses centered on healthcare and pharmaceutical research and development, including related business offices supported by private roads that will have no public access. The zoning map amendment would retain the existing Shoreland and Floodplain Overlay District designations in addition to the C-1, Lowland Resource Conservancy District designation.
The planned development agreement proposes a campus that could accommodate up to 12,000 employees. The architectural style of the campus has also been included in the agreement, along with the requirements for utility needs and dedications for public improvements such as future fire stations and a water tower.
The public meeting to discuss the proposed amendments and conceptual development plan will be held Monday evening, March 26, 2007 at 5:00pm in the Pleasant Prairie Village Hall auditorium located at 9915 39th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 53158.
