With the arrival of warmer weather, door-to-door salespeople begin appearing in Village neighborhoods. Before engaging in sales activities in the Village, any peddler, canvasser, solicitor or traveling merchant must receive a license from the Village Clerk. Registered solicitors are required to display their license to a resident after their initial greeting.

If a person approaches your home and does not have a license, you are asked to contact the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262/694-7353.

Charitable organizations registered in accordance with Section 440.42 of the Wisconsin Statues are exempt from obtaining a license.
