Three road-paving projects in the Village of Pleasant Prairie were approved on Monday, June 15. The three work areas include: a section of 93rd Street between 39th Avenue and Springbrook Road; a section of 48th Avenue between 85th Street and 85th Place; and 119th Street and 24th and 25th Courts in the Tobin Woods Subdivision. The 93rd Street and 48th Avenue projects were budgeted for as part of the second phase of the Village's 2009 Paving Program. The paving within Tobin Woods will be paid for by the developer of the subdivision.

The projects were put out to bid. Payne & Dolan, Inc. out of Waukesha submitted the lowest bid for work in each area and was awarded the contract for the projects. Paving in each of the three areas is expected to begin in mid-July. Prior to the mid-July paving, Village crews will work to remove existing, deteriorated, storm water culverts from under 93rd Street between 39th Avenue and Springbrook Road. They will be replaced with new concrete culverts.
