The Pleasant Prairie Adult and Junior Triathlon will be held on June 26 and 27 this summer. The race will be held throughout Prairie Springs Park, Lake Andrea and in the surrounding area. In order to maintain safety for racers, spectators, volunteers and residents, roads surrounding the course will be closed on Sunday, June 27.
Detailed road closure information, including the race route and closure timing, will be available in the June issue of the Village Newsletter. It will also be posted to this website and RecPlexOnline.com. A Triathlon Expo will also be held in the RecPlex fieldhouse on Saturday, June 26.
During 2009, the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon drew roughly 1,500 athletes to the area. A similar number are expected for the 2010 race. You're invited to take part in this inspiring community event. A portion of the proceeds from the 2010 Pleasant Prairie Triathlon will benefit youth and adults with special needs who are served through the Therapeutic Recreation Program at RecPlex.
