ONLINE UTILITY BILL PAYMENTS
In early March, the Village introduced a new online bill viewing and payment option for utility bills. The new feature enables utility customers to: view their utility bill online, opt out of receiving a paper bill in the mail, make a one-time online payment directly from their checking account or set up recurring automatic payments directly from their account.
As of mid-May, 544 utility customers have registered for the service, and 68 have opted to no longer receive a paper bill in the mail. Village staff would like to thank those utility bill customers who have started using the new service and are helping the Village to "go green."
To try the new online bill viewing and payment feature, click here or on the Online Payments button in the upper right hand corner of any page. Then, follow the simple instructions you find there. Online payment options are also available for parking citations, court forfeitures (such as speeding tickets and zoning violations) and property taxes.
EMAIL NEWSLETTER
Village staff would also like to thank residents who have opted off of the paper mailing list for the Village Newsletter and opted instead to receive their newsletter via email only. More than 854 residents are now receiving their newsletter via email, and 241 of those residents have now requested to no longer receive a paper copy in the mail.
If you aren't already receiving your Village Newsletter via email and would like to try it, type your email address in the box at the bottom of the main page. You'll receive simple and quick instructions walking you through the process. The email version of the newsletter offers the same content as the print version you receive in the mail.
Once you are comfortable receiving your newsletter via email, you can decide if you'd like to opt off of the paper mailing list. To do so, email your name, your U.S. Postal mailing address, and the words "email only" to [email protected]. You'll receive a confirmation email once your name has been removed from the paper mailing list. Thank you again for your help.
