
On Monday, June 21, 2010, the Pleasant Prairie Village Board presented Ms. Karen Ellis with a Certificate of Recognition for 26 years of public service to the citizens of Pleasant Prairie. Ms. Ellis will soon retire from her position in the Village as Municipal Court Clerk. Karen assumed this role after first having served as a Public Safety Dispatcher for Pleasant Prairie beginning in 1984.
Ellis was recognized for the care and dedication demonstrated while performing her duties as Municipal Court Clerk. "Karen's coworkers are very fond of her," explained Chris Lopour, Communications Director for the Village. "Karen is known for her hard work, and we will miss her." The Village Board expressed their gratitude to Karen during their June 21 meeting and wished her the best in her retirement.
