Site and Operational Plans Approved for the First of Two Medical Office Buildings on United Hospital System - St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus
On Monday, August 9, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission conditionally approved Site and Operational Plans for the first of two medical office buildings proposed to be built on the United Hospital System - St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus south of Highway 50 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Initial plans call for the construction of a two-story, 32,000 square foot building to be built on the southwestern portion of the property. The building will accommodate space for: Advanced Pain Management on a landlord-tenant basis, outpatient rehabilitation services, physician office space, and a common area space.
The original concept for the medical center campus, presented in 2001, included the future construction of a medical office building development and parking structure on the southern portion of the 50-acre property located in the Prairie Ridge development. The Site and Operational Plan approved on August 9, represents one of two freestanding medical office buildings reflected in the original 2001 concept. The currently proposed building has been designed with the capacity for expansion if needed in the future. No definite time frame has been set for other structures within the development.
Surface-level parking will be constructed to accommodate the medical office building. Access to the building will be available via a network of interior private roadways within the medical center campus. At full occupancy, the new building will accommodate approximately 82 employees on a daily basis.
