During July, Scott Martell, father of Private First Class (PFC) Joshua Fleming, presented the Pleasant Prairie Village Board with a Pleasant Prairie flag, which was flown in Iraq during his son's tour of duty earlier this spring. PFC Fleming is currently serving our country with the United States Army. The flag has been signed by the group of soldiers he served with. The Pleasant Prairie Village Board, in turn, presented a certificate of appreciation for PFC Fleming to his father.
The certificate, presented on behalf of all of the citizens of Pleasant Prairie, recognizes PFC Fleming's service to the Country and the local community. The certificate also thanks PFC Fleming for his gift of the Pleasant Prairie flag. Martell indicated that City and County flags flown in Iraq have also been presented to City and County officials.
