In 2012, new property tax payment receipts will be printed at the time of payment and mailed to those not paying their bill in person. Residents will no longer need to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope to request a receipt by mail; receipts will automatically be provided.
The Village of Pleasant Prairie collects your property tax on behalf of six taxing bodies. The new receipts will identify how much of your payment is being sent to each of the taxing bodies and how much will remain in the Village to support the provision of municipal services in our community. Property tax statements are mailed during the month of December.
