Pleasant Prairie Patriots Competition Results for COHO Swim Club IMX Challenge
On December 15 and 16, the COHO Swim Club of Illinois hosted the COHO Swim Club IMX Challenge at RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie and welcomed 600 swimmers with 12 different teams from throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. Competitors in the COHO IMX Challenge were ages six through 18. The IMX series was designed by USA Swimming to encourage swimmers from different age groups to compete in multiple events rather than specializing in one particular event too soon.
IMX is a motivational program enabling swimmers from across the United States to compare their performance to thousands of other swimmers within their age group. A point value is assigned for each swim event that a participant completes. Those points are tallied, and participants are then placed into a national ranking.
Members of the Pleasant Prairie Patriots Swim Team (PX3) competed in the COHO IMX Challenge held at RecPlex this December. PX3 swimmers who met the IMX high point standings for top three finishers, included: Jared Chatterton, Tyler Chatterton, Lexie DuChene, Shelby Haines, and Missy Seiberlich. Jared Chatterton earned the highest IMX score out of the PX3 swimmers and the fifth highest IMX score for the meet. The IMX rating system is based on top performances in the 200 fly, 200 back, 200 breaststroke, 400 individual medley, and 500 freestyle.
Additional notable finishes included: Alyssa Bailey (8) 9th place in the 10 and under 50 backstroke; Jared Chatterton (13) 2nd place in the 13 and over 200 breaststroke; Tyler Chatterton (13) 1st place in the 13 and over 200 breaststroke; Lexie DuChene (14) 6th place in the 13 and over 200 backstroke; Danielle Glisovich (12) 1st place in the 11-12 200 freestyle; Eleyna Graczkowski (11) 10th place in the 11-12 100 individual medley; Shelby Haines (13) 4th place in the 13 and over 200 backstroke; Maren Hoferitza-Palermo (14) 7th place in the 13 and over 200 butterfly; Camille Joyner (12) 7th place in the 11-12 50 butterfly; Thomas Joyner (9) 9th place in the 9-10 50 backstroke; Owen Lane (9) 6th place in the 9-10 100 breaststroke; Cooper Scarmardo (13) 6th place in the 13 and over 500 freestyle; Charles Smith (10) 4th place in the 10 and under 200 freestyle; Harry Smith (11) 7th place in the 11-12 100 backstroke; Isabelle Sonday (12) 7th place in the 11-12 500 freestyle; Joelle Tarczewski (11) 8th place in the 11-12 500 freestyle; and Evan Weiss (10) 5th place in the 10 and under 200 freestyle.
