You are invited to join us for the 2012 Prairie Family Days Celebration on Saturday, July 21. This year's Family Days will take place at a new location inside Prairie Springs Park. This July, the grounds will move lakeside along the west side of RecPlex.
Family entertainment planned includes the: kickoff parade; acrobatic comedian Circus Boy; pontoon boat rides; craft fair; bingo; live music; food vendors; open skate and skating exhibition; raffle drawings; and nighttime fireworks display! Activities requiring advanced registration include the: youth fishing derby; Family Days 5K Walk/Run; Princess Promenade (formerly known as the Princess Parade); and Miss Pleasant Prairie scholarship pageant.
Visitors are also invited to meet a handful of Pleasant Prairie's businesses in the Made in Pleasant Prairie tent. You can interact with businesses to learn more about their corporate philosophy, company history and to learn what they make or do in Pleasant Prairie.
The live music lineup for 2012 includes Creason Studios' Signature Strings, the Affordables, and Untrained Laymen. Food vendors will be on hand offering specialty menu items, such as funnel cakes, fried cheese curds, barbecue and more. Admission and several activities are free, though some activities are fee based. A $5 parking fee will be charged inside the park after 4:00 p.m. Visit PrairieFamilyDays.com throughout the summer to help plan your trip to Prairie Family Days.
