Each year, sporting events in Pleasant Prairie draw thousands of visitors to the community. “Pleasant Prairie has been incredibly fortunate to be able to host such amazing events,” explained Carol Willke, Director of Recreation for the Village. “Not only do theses events provide a challenging and rewarding experience for the athletes, but they inspire young spectators and provide an economic boost for our local retail businesses.”
In past years, the estimated economic benefit (impact) of multisport events over the summer months for area businesses has exceeded $1 million. The race organizers also reach out to the broader community year after year through charitable giving components.
Businesses and residents near Prairie Springs Park can expect limited road closures on Sunday, June 22 and Sunday, August 10 similar to those that have taken place in the past for these events. More information will be made available as race courses are finalized. All are invited to join us for these events as athletes, spectators and volunteers.
