The Village would like to thank those who took the time to visit Open Village Hall earlier this summer and offer potential names for the newest Village Park. Those responding submitted a total of seven potential names for the newest park, with variations of “Brookside Gardens Park” receiving the most support.
Staff presented the feedback received to the Village Park Commission on August 5. The Park Commission recommended that the Village Board consider the name that received the most support, a name that reflects the name of the subdivision in which it is located. The Village Board, on August 18, concurred with the feedback and the Commission’s recommendation.
In relation to the leaf burning topic, staff is continuing work to assemble a plan that will be presented to the Village Board at an upcoming meeting. Agendas for Village Board and Commission meetings are available online at PleasantPrairieOnline.com. Watch for the next topic to be posted to Open Village Hall. Once posted, an email will be sent to those who are registered through the forum. The Village would like to thank you again for sharing your feedback.
