Members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue would like to thank all those who helped “Fill-the-Boot” during the 2014 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) fundraiser on May 31 and June 1. This year, Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue collected a total of $12,567. “Thanks to the generosity of the community over the past seven years, members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue have been able to help support the MDA’s efforts to conquer neuromuscular disease,” explained Pleasant Prairie Firemedic Joseph Olszewski, local MDA coordinator.

The International Association of Firefighters has been a national sponsor of the MDA since 1954. This is Pleasant Prairie’s seventh year participating in Fill-the-Boot. The department has plans to participate in the fundraiser during next year’s campaign.
